We have been very busy in the month of September.  Highlights that come to mind are two Iowa State football games that everyone attended.  Iowa State won (of course).  They face the Cornhuskers at the end of September.  We have been looking into getting some projects around the house started including the kitchen and patio.  See the "Home Projects" page for more information on these.  Right now it looks like we'll have the patio put in by the end of October.  Sarah and Ryan spent the last two months moving gravel out of the patio area and putting it around the fence in the backyard.  The lawn has a brick edging and the gravel is between the edging and the fence.  Speaking of backyard, Sarah and I also replaced two fence posts because the previous ones rotted out.  We're starting to become pros at repairing wooden fences.  I'm making sure these posts don't go anywhere (each post has 100lbs of cement holding them down!)  Sarah and the baby are doing fine.  She was able to hear the heartbeat at the last doctors visit and now she's starting to feel the baby kick.  Ryan and his dad saw the last days of fishing.  They had a great two days at lake Minnetonka and caught many nice sized fish including 4+lb bass!  In the coming month of October we are planning more football games and Ryan will be going to Las Vegas during the first week to a conference for his work.
