Today Sarah went in for her third ultrasound. They were specifically looking for three things that they were unable to see during the second ultrasound: four chambers in the heart, two kidneys, and three veins in the umbilical cord. They were able to see everything and the baby looks very healthy. The baby measures at 27 weeks and two days which is on schedule. The estimated weight is 2lbs 6oz. It was very active during the ultrasound and Sarah could feel AND see the baby punch, kick, and move about. The best part of the ultrasound was when the baby waved (the still picture doesn't do it justice) to us.
Sarah also took some blood and anemia tests which she passed with flying colors. The doctor also cleared Sarah to travel for the holidays. The next doctor visit is in the first week of January, so check for the next baby update then.
