Where to start. Life is busy.
Since the October newsletter, we've had Halloween. Zach was Batmand and Gabe was a lion. Check out the photos.
November saw us replacing the furnace and Gabe got sick with an ear infection again. We tried two different antibiotics and several chiropractic visits before he was better. We took the boys to the Children's Museum in St. Paul (we're members) as a reward for great behavior at daycare. Zach really enjoyed himself. We also went down the watch ISU win their last home football game of the season, then Zach flew off to Utah with Grandma Kay and Grandpa Wayne. Sarah, Ryan and Gabe followed a few days later. We visited in Utah over Thanksgiving for a week, and got to celebrate family birthdays and anniversaries. Zach and Ryan managed to get a day of skiing in just before we left.
We threw Zach a huge 5th birthday party at an indoor inflatables party place. He had 20 little friends from preschool, church and the neighborhood to help him celebrate. The kids all had fun and we didn't have to clean up afterwards!
December has started and like everyone else, we are shopping like crazy for Christmas presents. We are trying to get everything bought quickly so that we can concentrate on the kitchen project. We paid 50% down for our kitchen cabinets and have a meeting scheduled with the contractor. The kitchen project will start early-mid January, so we have a lot of decisions to make before then. We are still trying to choose flooring, countertops, paint, appliances etc.
Family friends are coming to town this weekend, and Zach sings in the church Christmas program in a couple of weeks. Then a quiet Christmas at our house, followed by a trip to Iowa to celebrate with Grandma Cynthia, Grandpa Mark, Aunt Rachel and cousin Jacob. Then a big Schmidt family Christmas.
