It's been six months since our last newsletter. A lot has happened this summer. Zach has been getting ready for kindergarten. He is really excited about riding on the school bus and being with his friends. Gabe has been very cheerful all summer (except when a new tooth is coming in.) This summer has been an interesting one for teeth; both Zach and Gabe have been getting teeth in at the same time. Nothing like two cranky kids at the same time.
At the beginning of July we went to a cabin in northern Minnesota with Ryan’s family including his Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, and Grandpa. Everyone had a great time and it was one our best years of fishing. Zach and Gabe enjoyed going to the beach and playing in the lake and sand. Sarah, my sister and mom became pros at doing crossword puzzles.
As the summer is winding down, Zach has continued with his swim camp. He has made incredible progress at swimming, and I think that he enjoys it. In the fall both Zach and Gabe will continue swim lessons.
At the beginning of August Sarah took a small vacation to Atlanta to visit her college roommate Renee. I think she enjoyed some time to herself without worrying about Ryan or the kids. She was definitely happy to come back and Gabe wouldn’t let her out of his sight for the next two days.
