What we did Summer 2009 - Sunday, September 20, 2009

Wow, this summer came and went without so much as a whisper on Ceramicbytes.com.  I appologize for that.  One thing that I did figure out this summer was facebook.  I resisted as long as I could but eventually most of my friend found out I was located there.  So that means that I started posting little tidbits there.  Feel free to visit me there.

Ok, so what did we do this summer?  Zach was in a lot of sports.  Let's see if I can remember them all; baseball, soccer, gymnastics, swimming, and biking.  And if you consider this a sport: annoying his brother.  Zach also attended a week long spanish camp at a campground just outside the Twin Cities.  He seemed to enjoy it and every once and while suprises me with a spanish word or two.

Gabe has also been involed in a lot of activities.  He started gymnastics this spring and continued with his swimming.  And as he tries to keep up with his brother, he works at both soccer and baseball.  And just like Zach, his other favorite past time is annoying his brother.

Both Ryan and Sarah continue to work hard with Ryan making a few work trips to New York state and Washington DC.  Our enjoyable vacation time included a spring break trip to Utah via South Dakota (Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Wall Drug, etc.)  We also got stuck in Casper, WY by a late season snow storm.  We were able to make the most of being stuck with trips to a natural history museum, kids science zone, and movie.  In early July we spent a week with Ryan's relatives at Thunder Lake in N. Minnesota.  We recently attended the MN state fair and enjoy family bike trips.  Ryan's dad visited us in late summer for some fishing.  He rode his new motorcycle all the way from Utah, wow!

Most recently Ryan and Sarah installed a Rain Garden in our front yard and recovered and stained our dining room table.
